I have made changes to the Member's Info page <HERE> to reflect upcoming changes to the rink fees structure. I have also added an information sheet for new members <HERE>. I have also added the Club Constitution in readiness for the AGM <HERE>. The latest club newsletter is on a link on the left hand side of this page, or on the newsletters page.
This years Nationals were held at ASB Stadium in Auckland. Upper Hutt club skaters were very well represented with UHRSC winning the Show Skate Challenge and many individual and team medals. Thanks very much to the organisers, officials, coaches and competitors. Results are <HERE>.

This was held on the 24th and 25th of May at Palmerston North. Due to some extreme weather crossing the country some of the International grades long programmes for free skating needed to be cancelled. This was due to leaks in the building roof causing water on the rink surface. A good call by the organisers and officials which potentially saved injuries to skaters. This was held from the 21st of April to the 26th of April at the Rainbow
Stadium in Palmerston North. New Zealand and UHRSC skaters featured
heavily in the results, collecting the majority of the medals. There
is an NZ Oceania Team Facebook page which has some photos from the event

UHRSC skaters won 8 Gold, 5 Silver and 7 Bronze medals - 20 combined medals overall - a great tally!!

This was held on the weekend of the 13th of December. Many thanks to the organisers, judges, officials and competitors for a very successful weekend. Full results are <HERE> well done to all competitors, it was a fun event and a good first competition for many of our patch skaters.
The Oceania team are selling photo CDs of high resolution photos of each individual skater taken at club champs - it costs $25 per skater, with all proceeds go towards the 2014 Oceania team (order forms and some samples are on the notice board - or have a look at our club Facebook page)
This event was held at the Jubilee Stadium in Wanganui from 1-5th of
October. Overall the Upper Hutt club did very well with 20 Gold, 20
Silver and 16 Bronze medals won by club members. Also UHRSC won the
Charles Jacobsen Trophy (Artistic Points) and Jack Fanthorpe Memorial
Fund (New Zealand and International Fields Top Senior Skater): Emma
Patrick. and also the Avis Berry Trophy (Most Points Senior Lady): Emma

Special thanks to our Club Managers Fiona Patrick, Carolyn Evans and
Raynor Stratford - and also to their helpers. This was a big event for
our club with a large number of new skaters attending their first Nationals
The Upper Hutt Roller Skating club is the Runner-up in this year awards
in the Sports and Leisure category. The awards recognise the valuable
contribution of volunteers to community groups across the Wellington
Region, across five categories - Art & Culture, Education &
Child Youth Development, Health & Wellbeing, Heritage & Environment
and Sport & Leisure. Bruce Crosby attended the awards as the club's
representative and collected the certificate and $250!!! A Picture of

This was held on the 14/15/16 of June. There are also some from Sunday morning <HERE> and <HERE> and late in the afternoon <HERE>. and <HERE> and <HERE> and <HERE> and <HERE> and <HERE>.There is a colour cast problem with some of the photos, so some arms and legs are very yellow - I will try to fix these over the next few days. The final results are <HERE> from the Oceania Champs. We have a number of new champions to congratulate as well as skaters who have either medalled or acheived significant goals. Well done to all involved. I hope to have some more information and photos next week. From the results we can see that Australia have 7 current champions and NZ 15 - which is very pleasing!
7 gold, 9 silver and 3 bronze medals were won by Upper Hutt skaters -an amazing medal tally for a single club!

Learn to skate lessons are held each Tuesday night at 5.30pm at the rink in Railway Ave.
